School Team Wins Local Cricket Tournament

The annual local cricket tournament was held yesterday at Worlingworth Cricket Club. 6 teams took part including 2 from Robert Hitcham's. Each team played each other in a round robin format - so 5 games each.
Our A team won all 5 matches v Wetheringsett, Thorndon, Occold, Dennington and Fram B to finish as Champions.
Our B Team won 4 matches. Their only defeat was in the best game of the tournament v Fram A. We have incredible strength in depth now and enthusiasm for cricket throughout years 3 to 6. There were some very good performances from players yesterday in year 5 for example. Huge credit for the teams sucess must go to the captain Josh Cantrell. He is very talented and an inspiration to the other players. In one of the matches he hit 5 consecutive sixes. George Johnson also did a great job as captain of the B team. Their enthusiasm particularly when fielding was excellent.
Fram A team will now go forward to the County Finals with high hopes of emulating the sucess of last year's team at this event.
