KEY STAGE 1 AND FOUNDATION – Wednesday 10 November
On parent consultation day we would like each child in Foundation and Key Stage 1 to bring in a soft toy which is special to them. They will be using these for inspiration to be creative.
SCHOLASTIC BOOK LEAFLET – deadline for orders THIS FRIDAY
With this order please find the latest book order leaflet, the deadline for orders is very quick – by this Friday please. We CANNOT accept cash for this, only cheques payable to ‘Scholastic Ltd’ or please fill in the credit card details on the order form.
PHOTOGRAPHS – deadline for orders Wednesday 17 November
With this letter please find your child’s school photograph proof card. The deadline for orders with payment is next Wednesday (17 November), any late orders will levy an additional charge of £3.50 from the photographer. Please follow payment instructions on the card, cheques should be payable to ‘Van Cols Ltd’. If you do not want to order there is no need to return the proof card.
CHRISTMAS SHOE BOX APPEAL THANKS
Thank you to all the families who donated a Christmas shoe box to the Samaritan’s Purse appeal. We are delighted to inform parents that we will be sending off 74 shoeboxes. Thank you.
INTERNET SAFETY TRAINING FOR PARENTS – Tuesday 30 November
Following the huge rise in use of internet ‘social networking’ sites, we felt it would be useful to help parents understand the issues surrounding these, and to learn how to keep their children safe on the internet, especially for those who allow their children to use sites such as ‘Facebook’. We have arranged for the training team within the SCC Safeguarding in Education to come in on Tuesday 30 November 1.15-3.00pm. A crèche will be provided. A separate letter is attached with further details and reply slip.
WINTER WEATHER
Winter weather is now upon us and all children will NEED TO BRING A COAT every day. Thank you.
CANOPY
The canopy is now at a stage where the entrances to the hall and school can now be used.
FRIDAY ASSEMBLIES
Please can we ask that parents arriving for celebration assemblies do not arrive before 2.15pm as pupils are still using the hall for lessons. Thank you.
ONGOING CHANGE TO MENU – FOR WEEK 1 TUESDAYS ONLY
For Tuesday of every week 1 instead of Lasagne it will be Pasta Bolognaise and instead of Vegetable Curry it will be Jacket Potato and Tuna, we recommend you amend your printed copy.
