On Friday, years 3-5 boarded three coaches and happily set off for Colchester Zoo for the day. Everyone had a fabulous time, with lots of children having the opportunity to get some hands- on experiences with various animals, such as goats. Some children noticed how the environments for some animals had been altered to be as similar as possible to their native habitats, such as the rhinos, elephants and zebras being on sand. We were lucky because the sun shone and lots of happy but slightly weary children climbed back on the buses at the end of the day, ready to go back to school.
A
big thank you to all the adults who supported the children on the trip, with a
special thanks to the parent volunteers. Without them, this trip would not have
been possible.
