WHITWELL DAY 4

Sorry that we did not update the blog yesterday but it was action packed and we could not find the time.

Thursday was a brilliant day out at the coast. The weather was perfect - sunny but not too warm. In the morning we went out on a boat from Morston Key to Blakeney Point. There were hundreds of seals and thousands of terns feeding their newly hatched chicks.

We had lunch on Wells beach then played in the dunes, beach cricket, built sand castles and found crabs & jelly fish. The children then had some time to spend their pocket money in the Wells shops.

In the evening the children put on a camp show - I have some very entertaining video clips which will appear on the camp DVD (which you will be able to purchase before the end of term).

Finally we had a traditional last evening bonfire with loud singing. I must say that we have really enjoyed and appreciated the range and quality of cakes that our parents supplied this year.
We have hundreds of pictures from the week which will also be on the DVD.
