STAFFING UPDATE
We would like to update you on our teaching staff news.
We have heard some of your concerns through the Governors and the Parent Council and would like to assure you that we are all working together to ensure that the needs of all our children are met.  We do recognize that the future will look different for a while until the changes embed, but we will always put the children first.
Change, although not always easy, is a part of a natural process of school evolution allowing it to blossom even further with new initiatives, ways of working and research based learning all held together by a very strong Leadership Team and Governing Body which is motivated, informed and active in the pursuit of excellence.  Since last writing we have been fortunate in securing Mrs Skevington to our team initially for one term, so with one more position to fill we have every confidence that we will be fully staffed for September.
We would ask for your continued support as we work towards ensuring a smooth transition for all our children into the new academic year.

CRICKET SUCCESS
We are delighted to say that both the Boys Cricket team and the Girls Cricket team have been successful in winning the Area Kwik Cricket finals.  Both teams go through to the County finals next week.  We wish them luck!

ARTS FESTIVAL
Thank you to all parents who have returned a feedback card, we really appreciate all the positive comments you have made and the ideas for the future.

A letter from our chair of Governors:

Dear Children and Staff,
I would like to thank all of you on behalf of myself and the whole Governing Body, for the fantastic Arts Festival on the 8th of June.
It was an amazing opportunity to celebrate individual and group skills and talents across the whole school, from Nursery up to Year 6.  The wide range of performances was very inspiring, the Nursery Rhymes, poetry, storytelling, drama, singing, body percussion, individual and group musicians, also the work by our young technicians.
Every child in our school had the chance to take part, there was even audience participation, all supported by an excellent compere.
How very fortunate we are to have such talented and hardworking children and staff, you should all be very proud of yourselves.
I am particularly impressed that a primary school could put on such a successful event for everyone to enjoy.
   Well Done!
Jacqueline Ward, Chair of Governors
