We would ask that parents please sit to the slope side of the field
ready to watch the morning races by 9.05am and the afternoon races by 1.15pm. Key Stage 2 children will be at the field from 9.05am for their 9.10am Opening Ceremony on the theme of ‘OUR UNITED KINGDOM’. Each House will represent a part of the UK:
Hitchams = England, Mills = Ireland, Howard = Wales, Bulstrode = Scotland
Please could KS2 CHILDREN come to school in their PE kits.
Key Stage 1 & Foundation will arrive at the field at 1.10pm.
Ready to start racing at approximately 1.15pm.
KS1/Foundation will get changed for the afternoon.
(No book bags will be needed on this day).
The Friends will be serving Strawberries and Cream during the morning and afternoon, so do bring along some money (£1.50 a pot).

STAGE 1 & FOUNDATION – AFTERNOON
KS1 & Foundation running order is as follows, starting at
approximately 1.15pm:Running Races – Nursery followed by Reception, Year 1 then Year 2
Skills Races – Reception followed by Year 1 then Year 2
Novelty Races – Nursery followed by Reception, Year 1 then Year 2
Toddler Race - Younger siblings can take part (with support from parents)
Races will take place in groups to allow all children to participate.
We have put no specific timings as for many children this is their first time at Sports Day and we want to make the whole event a relaxed and enjoyable experience for the children.
We hope to finish this by 2.45pm. Nursery Parents may take their children home from the field once they have been signed out by their class teacher. Everybody else will return to school.
