Here is a tiny taste of Maths in Class KM this week.
In line with our maths scheme - Power Maths, we are concentrating on counting and representing numbers up to 10. Children are enjoying using a ten frame to help ensure accurate counting of loose quantities (counters etc). They are also gaining confidence in finding out number facts about numbers up to and including 10, using the frame as a reference point. We have played lots of board games to in order to consolidate and embed these skills.
Maths quote of the week has to be...
" I am just TERRIFIC at this!" - overheard when using the ten frame and wooden beads.
Absolutely brilliant - all of the class are becoming maths superstars.
