Our class text this term is Philip Pullman's 'Northern Lights' which focuses on the life of Lyra who lives carefree among the scholars of Jordan College her daemon, Pantaleimon, by her side.
Over the past few weeks, we've delved into Lyra's character and have got to the point where she has been given an alethiometer.
The class extracted evidence from the text which confirmed what this device looked/ felt like. We're developing our comprehension skills and learning the skills of extracting evidence directly from a text in order to develop our written responses further.
