Class JA has been working hard to develop their musical knowledge and learning to play the 'cello by plucking the strings, naming the open strings, naming the parts of the 'cello, playing games to develop their knowledge and lots more. The whole class has a 'cello lesson each Monday morning and the staff have been pleased with the way in which they have embraced the music lessons.
Mr Slatter (their visiting 'cello teacher) has also praised the whole class for working hard, listening to the instructions and for smiling as they are playing; this has made the staff smile too. Mrs Ambrose has asked Mr Slatter if he will play The Swan by Saint Saens because this is one of her all time classical favourites. She has played this online to the class and they really enjoyed listening to it and found it very relaxing. He has agreed to play it later in the term and we hope that this will inspire the children to continue playing the 'cello after Year 5.
