We are delighted to share that we will soon be welcoming a PAT (Pets As Therapy) dog into our school. Her name is Izzy, and she will be visiting us regularly with her trained handler.
She met all the children today in Assembly :)
Pets As Therapy dogs are specially assessed for their calm, gentle nature and are known to have a positive impact on children’s wellbeing. Izzy’s visits will support pupils with reading confidence, emotional regulation, and general wellbeing through calm, supervised interactions. All interactions with Izzy will be fully supervised, and she will remain on her lead at all times. Hygiene procedures will also be followed before and after contact.
