Class SBJA - Year 5 - Hinduism - special project

This week, our class enjoyed learning about Hinduism over the course of a day. They explored some lines of investigations/key questions, which were:

Who founded Hinduism and where was it founded? What are the main beliefs in Hinduism? Which places are special to Hindus? Can we name and describe some special Hindu festivals? Which holy books do Hindus use? Can we name and explain the meanings of Hindu symbols?

Earlier on this term, we emailed our prime minister Rishi Sunak who is a |Hindu and asked him if he could share how being a Hindu has inspired him and shaped his life. At present, we have had a short email from his office, acknowledging our message but are awaiting a detailed response .................. fingers crossed.

Thank you to  everybody for their enthusiasm for learning, zest for knowledge, great work and interest in this fascinating world faith. Everybody worked in small groups and became 'experts' in their topic using a variety of resources including a wooden model of a mandir  and really demonstrated the depth of their understanding, asked great questions and displayed their learning in interesting and engaging ways.  The classroom boasts a very attractive  wall display, showcasing Class SBJA's learning. Thank you everybody.
