The past two weeks have been full of fun exploring learning with dragons and castles. We have shared lots of fiction books involving dragons and castles and also looked at some non-fiction texts to learn about castles and to practise some new words such as moat, drawbridge, portcullis and well. We have been thinking about what life would have been like living in a castle long long ago and enjoyed this through small world and role play activities.
We have enjoyed working together to build castles too.
We also had a wonderful time visiting the field to enjoy the open space and to spot our very own Framlingham Castle.
We have been creating our own flags and coats of arms and we have been exploring maths concepts as well, using our dragon's golden coins treasure and matching shapes with the castle jewels.
