As performers, we enjoyed our first poetry recital of the year on Friday, with “Harvest” being the theme. Reverend Vipond, who has himself written several poetry books, very kindly judged the competition. Mr Vipond gave some excellent feedback about the poems and commented on the winning classes using collaborative oracy and clear pronunciation.
Congratulations to the winners of Key Stage 1, taking
ownership of ‘Poetry Penguin’, who were Class KH. The winners of Key Stage 2 were Class KV who
now have the poetry cup in their class.
School council members from each class received their trophies from
Reverend Vipond.
