FOREST SCHOOL -NURSERY

On Friday the children from nursery enjoyed having a campfire. We talked about how to be safe around the fire and what we needed to light it, then the children watched the fire being built and lit.We toasted some bread, and as it was World Bee Day some of the children chose to have honey on their toast. The children then had time to explore the other activities in Robin Wood. Some learnt how to use a hammer to make a little hedgehog. There was painting using natural paintbrushes, to experiment with mark making, as well as fun in the mud kitchen. Some of the children transported water to make a very muddy pond in the digging area which they then had great fun playing in. It was a very busy morning and we were very lucky with the weather.
