A couple of weeks ago, the year 5’s in VWh were given a news article to read about the colossal loss of insect life in some areas of the world.
It discussed the serious implications of this and the threat it might pose to food security and human health as pollinators are critical. The article went on to discuss the actions required to preserve natural habitats and gave stark statistics if action isn’t taken soon.
The children had to create an informative poster to summarize the main points of the article, sign-posting the reader to viable, potential solutions.
