A week in Class VW

This week, the Year 6 children in Miss Whipps class have been busy once again. 

We’ve been mastering long division, interpreting remainders and undertaking maths challenges. 

In Science, we celebrated ‘Biology week’ by discussing the different strands of Biology and using the slides to look at different specimens. 

In English/ Topic, we’ve researched the Battles of Passchendaele and Somme and addressed some key questions in relation to these. 

At the end of the week, the children enjoyed a visit by the author James Campbell. After hearing his wonderful anecdotes and humour, the children paired up for a free writing task to create a short story.
