As part of our Year 1 RE topic, we have been looking at belonging. The children have been learning about Christianity and the importance of belonging by being welcomed in to the church family through baptism, or within their own families and our own school family at Sir Robert Hicham’s.
Class
JT and KH have roll played baptisms with ‘little baby Annabel/Jamie’ and enjoyed
making cakes to celebrate the happy affair. This topic has provided the
children with many cross curricular opportunities including drama, cookery,
art, RE, and PSHE. As you can see from the photographs, the children really
enjoyed their learning and the opportunities this topic provided. A special
thank you to the parents who provided items which supported us with this topic.
