Following our brilliant (and very amusing) Official Opening of our School Library by local children's author James Campbell (see our previous post), we'd like to share with you some images of this wonderful environment that the children can enjoy.
It has been beautifully decorated by Mrs Sears, who created the woodland design which she brought to life with some amazing props. She was ably supported by Miss Turner and Mrs Lucas with the mammoth task of painting the space, literally floor to ceiling! Have you spotted the birds above your head? The clak board arrows are changed each half term to reflect our KS2 topics - with this half term being 'Fallen Fields - WWI'.
Mrs Borg is our excellent School Library co-ordinator, she makes sure that all new books are catalogued correctly to the Dewy labelling system - just like they use in the Suffolk Libraries. She also is terrific at reminding everyone to put the books back in the right place so that its easy for everyone to find books on the subject they're looking for.
We are very lucky to have this super resource for the children to use for their non-ficton resource.
