Reverend Chris Davey led our assembly this week thinking about number 40. He told us about how number 40 was a significant number in the bible and reminded us about the importance of the 40 days of Lent leading up to the most significant story in the bible being the Easter story. The children answered questions about facts to do with Jesus's 40 days in the wilderness. Chris wondered about the feeling of temptation that Jesus might have felt during this time and reminded us that many Christians give something up for the 40 days of Lent to understand and know the suffering that Jesus went through.
